Jordan Henderson has been added to the England squad ahead of the forthcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

The Liverpool captain has reported to St. George’s Park in preparation for the matches against Italy in Milan and Germany at Wembley.

However, Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips will play no part having been ruled out through injury.

Meanwhile, Tyler Morton has been called up to Lee Carsley’s England MU21s squad.

The Liverpool midfielder, who is on loan at Blackburn Rovers and has three caps for England MU20s, has joined the group for the first time ahead of internationals against Italy in Pescara and Germany at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White and Brentford forward Keane Lewis-Potter will play no part in the upcoming fixtures and will remain with their clubs for assessment.

Monday 19 September

Teddy Sharman-Lowe (Chelsea) has withdrawn from the MU20s squad due to injury and has been replaced by Tobi Oluwayemi (Celtic), while Brooke Norton-Cuffy (Rotherham United, on loan from Arsenal) has also withdrawn from the squad due to injury and replaced by Ethan Ingram (West Bromwich Albion).

Friday 16 September

Ben Chrisene (Kilmarnock, loan from Aston Villa) replaces Zak Sturge (Chelsea) in the England MU19s squad for their U19 EURO qualifiers in Denmark.
