We preview England Cerebral Palsy's 2023 IFCPF European Championship final against Ukraine in Sardinia
Giles Moore has urged his England Cerebral Palsy team-mates to give everything they have got in Saturday’s IFCPF EURO final and said the players remain relaxed heading into their historic encounter with Ukraine.
This is the first time the England CP team have reached a major final and regardless of the result in Sardinia, Andy Smith’s side has already guaranteed their place in Para Lions’ history.
Moore said: “I’m absolutely buzzing for the game. We all wanted so desperately to get to the final and now we are here.
“Ukraine are the number one team in the world so we have to make sure we go out there and give it our best.
“At dinner all the lads were relaxed, laughing and joking, and we just can’t wait to get going.”

England booked their place in the 2023 IFCPF European Championship final with a 3-1 win over the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.
It continued the Para Lions’ 100 per cent record in Sardinia, after group wins over Spain (3-1), Italy (11-0) and the Netherlands (2-0), but now they face the difficult task of taking on the world’s number one side, Ukraine.
“We have won every game so far so we have done fantastically well,” Moore said.
“We have conceded the least number of goals and we are going into the final to try to win it.
“It is the first time England CP have reached a major final so now we just have to give it our best because I think we have a great chance of winning it.”
