Emma Coates' Young Lionesses will be in action at the Pirelli Stadium this December

England women's under-23s will welcome Spain back to the Pirelli Stadium on Monday 4 December for their final home fixture of 2023.

Kicking off at 7pm GMT, it will be the second time the two sides have faced each other in Burton this year after they played out a 0-0 draw in February.

The Young Lionesses go into the final international window of the year in fine form as they remain undefeated in 2023, most recently drawing 1-1 away to Italy and defeating Portugal 2-0 at home. Since September, Emma Coates’ side has been competing in a new league competition, which sees the WU23s play other European nations in the age category across the course of the season.

Head coach Coates said: “It’s been a fantastic season so far for our Young Lionesses with some great performances, and we’ve also seen two of our players – Grace Clinton and Khiara Keating – earn their first senior call up.

"We're super focused on helping our players develop on and off the pitch, ensuring they’re prepared if they get the call to move across to the senior squad. That’s one of the reasons why we’re relishing competing in the European league, as it gives us the chance to test ourselves against quality opposition. We’re really looking forward to closing out the year in Burton and hope to see a strong crowd turn out to cheer us on and watch the next generation of Lionesses.”
