The Three Lions' summer send off for UEFA EURO 2024 will see games at St. James' Park and Wembley

England men will face Bosnia & Herzegovina and Iceland on the eve of UEFA EURO 2024.

The two fixtures at either end of the country will form an important part of the Three Lions’ preparation for this summer’s tournament in Germany.

Newcastle United’s St James’ Park will host the meeting with Bosnia & Herzegovina on Monday 3 June (7.45pm kick-off) before Iceland visit Wembley Stadium connected by EE for a send-off match on Friday 7 June (7.45pm kick-off).

It will be England men’s first fixture at St James’ Park since 2005 – a 2-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying victory over Azerbaijan - and their eighth outing overall at the home of the Magpies.

The occasion will also mark a first-ever senior meeting with Bosnia & Herzegovina, whose place at EURO 2024 rests on the Path B play-off starting with a semi-final against Ukraine in March.

Iceland are due to face Israel on the other side of that same play-off path and will be hoping to have secured their place when they travel to Wembley for their sixth meeting with England.

The last of those was in 2020; a 4-0 win for Three Lions at a behind-closed-doors Wembley in the UEFA Nations League as Declan Rice and Phil Foden scored for their country for the first time.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate said: “We’re really looking forward to taking the team back to the North East and to a city that is synonymous with football in this country. We will follow that with another special occasion at Wembley allowing our fans the opportunity to give us a final send off before we head to Germany for another exciting summer. Both opponents in June are sure to provide stiff competition and play an important part in our preparation for the tournament.”
