Harry Kane feeling fit for EURO 2024
The England striker is building his fitness levels for the trip to Germany after scoring against Bosnia & Herzegovina
MATCH CENTRE: ENGLAND 3-0 BiH
England captain Harry Kane believes he’ll be going into EURO 2024 in good shape, after adding another goal to his tally in the 3-0 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The Bayern Munich striker missed the last few weeks of the season in Germany with a slight niggle, but has been with the Three Lions squad all week as they began their final preparations for this summer’s tournament.
And after coming on as a second-half substitute, Kane scored England’s third goal to add to earlier efforts from Cole Palmer and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“I’m feeling good, and a lot of the end of the season was precaution,” revealed Kane.
“There's a big summer coming up so we didn't want to take any risks with it.
“In the end, it was a good chance to get a good break after a tough season and we have been in camp now for nearly a week.
“I’ve had a good week training, some minutes here and I'm sure I will get some minutes on Friday [v Iceland] and I will be ready to go for the group stage.
“It's almost worked in my favour missing the back end of the season. It gave me a chance to get maybe more rest in than I was going to get.”

Monday’s game saw Gareth Southgate take the opportunity to look at some of his options, after naming a 33-man training squad for both this game and Friday’s match with Iceland at Wembley.
And after a goal-less first half, the deadlock was broken by Palmer’s penalty before Alexander-Arnold’s angled volley doubled the advantage.
Kane then scored his 62nd international goal to complete the scoring in what he felt was a worthwhile exercise for the whole squad.
“It’s been a really good game for us and it’s been a good camp, meeting up five or six days ago.,” said Kane.
“For me personally, it is about having a good week training and then trying to get some minutes here and hopefully some more on Friday [v Iceland].
“It was good preparation, there are things of course we can do better, but overall a good night for us.”
