Young Lions set for Chesterfield international

England men’s under-20s will take on Italy men’s under-20s in an international fixture next month in Chesterfield.

The Young Lions will play Gli Azzurrini at Chesterfield’s SMH Group Stadium in Derbyshire on Friday 5 September 2025, with a kick-off time of 7.30pm BST.

The team will be led by head coach Ben Futcher, with the England men’s development team coaching setup confirmed earlier this week.

The Young Lions went unbeaten during the 2024-25 season, signing off with a 2-2 draw against Switzerland last time out in March at the Marbella Football Centre.

And they return to Chesterfield in 2025-26, having beaten Germany 4-0 at the SMH Group Stadium in November last year, with goals from Romain Esse, Max Dean, Sydie Peck and Will Lankshear.

Adult tickets are priced at £5, concession tickets (66+, 17-21 and 14-16) are priced at £3, junior tickets (13 and under) are priced at £1 and prices for wheelchair and ambulant disabled tickets follow the same pricing structure, plus one complimentary PA ticket.
