Stéphanie Frappart will be the referee of England's game with Senegal in Nottingham on Tuesday, her second appointment with the Three Lions.
The French official made history in 2023 when she became the first female to oversee an England men's senior game at the match with Australia at Wembley Stadium.
And she will take charge of an England game again when Thomas Tuchel's team are in action for the final time this season at the City Ground.
Joining Frappart's team for the game will assistant referees Aurélien Drouet and Camille Soriano, with Abdelatif Kherradji as fourth official and Mathieu Vernice (VAR) and Benoit Millot (AVAR) completing the lineup of French officials.
The trailblazing referee was the first woman to referee in men’s Ligue 2 and Ligue 1 in France and then became the first woman to referee in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
During Qatar 2022, Frappart became the first woman to referee a men’s FIFA World Cup fixture when she led the teams out for the game between Germany and Costa Rica. She was also one of the leading officials at the Women's World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand, her third appearance in that competition after being involved in 2015 and 2019.
The process for appointing match officials for non-competitive internationals sees the FA approach other international federations with regards officials for these games, and when the French Football Federation indicated Stephanie's availability, we were keen to take this opportunity.
Peter Elsworth, our head of refereeing operations, said: “Stéphanie is an outstanding referee and she has officiated on the highest stage within France, across Europe and at the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup."
