England men’s under-19s beat Lithuania 2-0, striking either side of the break in their first UEFA U19 EURO 2026 Qualifier.

The Young Lions struck early on in the contest, with just over a quarter-of-an-hour played. Max Dowman was brought down inside the area and Shumaira Mheuka stepped up to convert from the penalty spot.

Shortly after the half time interval, England doubled their lead. Mheuka bagged a brace, combining with Rio Ngumoha. The latter weaved his way into the box, picking out Mheuka at the back post who couldn’t miss from close range.

That result puts England top of the tree in Group 8, with three points on the board.
