The Para Lions are through to the final of the IBSA Partially-Sighted Futsal World Championship
PLAY PARTIALLY-SIGHTED FOOTBALL
England had to come from behind to beat Türkiye 4-2, booking their place in the final of the IBSA Partially-Sighted Futsal World Championship.
The Para Lions’ opponents took the lead around five minutes into the contest but that didn’t deter Duncan Gilchrist’s side.
England eventually drew level later through Andy Cahill. It went from back to front as the Para Lions won back possession in their own half. Liam Spinks edged forward before picking out Cahill with a pinpoint pass, with the latter sweeping home the equaliser.
Gilchrist’s team turned the scoreline on its head later in the first half. After the ball went out of play, Harry Gibbons scored directly from the kick-in, with his effort going all the way through a crowd of red and white shirts.
