England men's Blind squad named for European Championship

England’s squad for this month’s IBSA European Blind Football Championship has been named by head coach Adam Bendall ahead of the tournament this month.

The Para Lions head to Strasbourg in France for the competition, which takes place between 17-23 August 2026, with an eleven-man squad in place.

England will kick-off their campaign in the group stages with a game against host nation France on Monday 17 August (3pm BST), before they play Germany the following day (12.30pm BST).

Their final group game with Greece will be played on Wednesday 19 August (12.30pm BST) before the competition splits into the knockout and final placing stage, with the semi-finals and 5-8 placement games scheduled for Friday 21 August.

The Final and third-place match will then be staged on Sunday 23 August, with all games taking place at the Euro Stadium venue in Strasbourg.

Bendall’s team warmed-up for the tournament with a third-place finish at the Blind Men Quad-Nations tournament in July, where they enjoyed wins over USA (twice) and Poland but also suffered defeat against Japan and Poland.
