Meet the England men's EURO Blind squad

The England men's Blind squad are set for the IBSA European Blind Football Championship 2026.

Dylan Malpas

Dylan is our first-choice goalkeeper. He’s played since 2015. He is regarded as one of the best goalies in the world. He’s going to be pivotal both on and off the pitch to everyone.

Owen Locke

Owen is the other goalkeeper. He will be our penalty specialist goalkeeper. Even though he’s not going to play many minutes, he’s got a really important role within the week.

Kieran Clarke

He glues the whole team together through his personality and how he is with everyone. He’s probably the person that knits everyone together both on and off the pitch and is there for his teammates constantly.

Azeem Amir

Azeem is one of our more experienced outfield players. We’re going to rely on him for a lot of guidance within the games. He’s good around set-pieces, so he’s going to bring a lot of experience to our young squad.

Toby Williams

Toby’s our newest member. He only won his first cap in April in Argentina, so it’s going to be an amazing experience for him and we’re really excited about his future. He’s going to play lots of minutes and hopefully he can gain a lot of knowledge and a lot of development from this tournament.

Efe Shimwell

There are loads of things to say about Efe – good things. He’s our matchwinner. He can win us games by himself and we’re just really excited about what he can do in his first European Championships.

Toby Addison

Toby has probably made the biggest gains out of all of the group in terms of his improvement and development over the last couple of years. This is his first EUROs and only his second major competition so we’re really excited about what he can do. Similar to Kieran, he brings people together off the pitch, as well. A really vital person to have around the group.

Rainbow Mbuangi

He’s one of the most experienced outfield players that we have. He’s had a really tough year through lots of medical conditions and injuries. He’s good around the group but also, the bigger picture of this tournament is – although it’s a European Championship and it’s important – next year is the big year for us and that’s the same for Rainbow. Getting him back on the pitch after being out for six months is going to be a really important thing for Rainbow.

Roy Turnham

Roy is our most capped outfield player. He’s our captain. He’s just got tonnes of experience. He’s widely regarded as one of the best players in Europe. We’re going to need him in big moments in the games. He leads the team not always by his words but more so by his actions on and off the pitch. He’s vital to everything that we do.

Eesa Amjid

We can’t wait to watch him play and some of the things that he can do. He won us the final of the Nations Cup with some amazing skill, so we’re hoping he can replicate that. This is his first EUROs and he’s still really young, so we’re just excited about what he can do.

Oliver Johnson

Similar to Toby Williams, he’s really new to Blind football – he’s only been playing two years and this is going to be an amazing experience for him as we move into a big year next year. He’s going to impact the team both on and off the pitch. On the pitch, he can win us some games if he has the belief and the confidence to do so.
