Watch the final episode of 'Building the Dream'
In Part 3 of England documentary 'Building the Dream', follow the Three Lions' journey to the World Cup
The third and final episode of the new England Originals series ‘Building the Dream, England’s Road to the World Cup’ is out now on the official England app.
The documentary, which covers England’s journey to the FIFA World Cup 2026 under head coach Thomas Tuchel, features exclusive interviews with Tuchel, captain Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and other members of the squad.
The latest instalment, titled ‘The Ultimate Prize’, begins with a focus on the Three Lions’ March camp, which saw Tuchel name an enlarged 35-man squad for friendlies against Japan and Uruguay at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.
Fans will also get to see HRH Prince William’s special visit to the ‘team behind the team’ at St. George’s Park and interviews with Aston Villa duo Morgan Rogers and Ezri Konsa, who reminisce about their favourite England World Cup memories.
It follows on from the opening episodes, ‘Lift Off’, which explores Tuchel’s appointment, and ‘Unbeaten’, which charts England’s impressive World Cup qualifying campaign. Both are available to watch on the official England app now.
In the final part, Tuchel and his assistant head coach, Anthony Barry, also look ahead to this summer’s tournament, which begins against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday 17 June.
Speaking in the final episode, Tuchel says: “I’m excited to be a coach again for six and hopefully seven weeks, and to be close to these players.
“Let’s bring the stress on because we had a long break from the players and I want to see them. I want to be a coach again.
“I think we’re a special group here and that it’s horrible to play against us.”
Barry, who also worked under Tuchel during the head coach's spells in charge of Chelsea and Bayern Munich, offers an insight into the type of football fans can expect when England kick-off their World Cup campaign.
“We try to take a brotherhood of 26 players on the plane who want to spend seven weeks together in the US, with one mission of trying to win the biggest and hardest World Cup of all time,” he says.
“Let’s play our best football, let’s put our best foot forward and enjoy it, let’s smile, let’s welcome the pressure. We always want that idea that we’re one of the most difficult teams to play against, no one wants to play against us.
“We’ve tried to bring Premier League football to the international stage in terms of intensity and aggression, and we’ve started to see that in England’s identity.”
