Should England progress through Round 1 they will then take the winner of Slovakia's tie with Ukraine, also over two legs, in Round 2 in the international window from 26 November to 5 December 2026. The winners at that stage will seal qualification for next summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 in Brazil.
There are eleven European spots at the World Cup, with four nations in Germany, Denmark, France and Spain already qualified after topping their groups and the rest to be taken up following the play-offs.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 will be held between 24 June and 25 July 2027 across eight host cities in Brazil.
