Lionesses and Young Lions squads to be named

Sarina Wiegman will name her England women’s squad for the final two FIFA 2027 Women’s World Cup European Qualifiers, when the Lionesses travel to face Spain before facing Ukraine.

England go into the games on top of their qualifying group, having won all four of their games so far, with the crucial encounter with second-placed Spain in Mallorca first up before they return to home soil for the game with Ukraine at Everton’s Hill-Dickinson Stadium.

In addition to that, there will also be two games in Cyprus for our MU18s in late May, with the Young Lions scheduled to play Greece and Cyprus.

The England men’s senior squad for the FIFA 2026 World Cup will also be announced on Friday 22 May. You’ll be able to see Thomas Tuchel’s selection for this summer’s trip to the USA, Canada and Mexico on the official England app first.
