The 2027-28 UEFA Women's Nations League draw was made on Tuesday

England will face France, Austria and Portugal, in the 2027 UEFA Women’s Nations League group stage, following Tuesday’s draw in Switzerland.

The Lionesses were drawn out in League A, Group 2 during the draw at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon and will kick-off the new campaign next year across the three international windows in February/March, April and June with teams playing each other home and away.

It means Sarina Wiegman and her squad will renew acquaintances with Portugal, who they played in the last Nations League campaign in 2025-26 while both France and Austria have also been our opponents in qualification games in recent years.

Now in its third campaign, the Women’s Nations League forms part of a European nation’s qualification campaign towards forthcoming major competitions, in this case for UEFA Women’s EURO 2029 and the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.

Following the conclusion of the league stage, the four League A group winners will meet in the semi-finals next October, accompanied by a third-place play-off and final in November and December, which will crown the Nations League winner.

Fixture details will be confirmed in due course.
