The England and Arsenal midfielder picks up 2025-26 season Top Goalscorer Award in association with M&S Food

Georgia Stanway has been presented with the England Women’s top goalscorer award for the 2025-26 season in association with M&S Food, after scoring nine goals in nine appearances for the Lionesses last term.

One of the standout moments of her campaign came at Wembley Stadium last November, when she became just the third Lioness, joining Beth Mead and Aggie Beever-Jones, to score an international hat-trick at the national stadium during England’s 8-0 victory against China PR.

Stanway received her award at St. George’s Park this week, as Sarina Wiegman’s squad prepare for their World Cup play-off games against Greece.

“I’m very honoured,” she said.
“You can’t do it alone and you can’t do it without your teammates. They’re just as deserving of this as I am.

“My hat-trick at Wembley against China was probably my favourite moment. There have been a few times where I’ve scored twice but never quite made it to three, so getting my first England hat-trick was really special.

“I’d also mention the goal away to Ukraine from the edge of the box into the top corner. If I’m being totally honest, I can’t remember all nine of them!”

England are now deep into preparation for their FIFA Women’s World Cup Round 1 Play-Off against Greece, with the first leg taking place at the Pankritio Stadium in Heraklion, Crete, on Friday 9 October (5.30pm BST).

The Lionesses then host the return fixture at Leicester’s King Power Stadium on Tuesday 13 October (7.30pm). Tickets for the home leg remain on sale here.
