England MU21s squad named for final EURO Qualifiers

The England men’s under-21s squad for their final three UEFA U21 EURO qualifiers has been named by head coach Lee Carsley ahead of the September and October international window.

The Young Lions are aiming to secure their place in the Finals in Albania and Serbia next summer, where they will hope to retain a title which England have won twice in succession.

And Carsley’s team return to action for the first time since March with two home games against Kazakhstan (7.30pm, Friday 25 September) and Slovakia (7.45pm, Friday 2 October) at Molineux and Stoke City respectively.

They then head to Cork where they will face Republic of Ireland on Tuesday 6 October (6pm). All three games will be available to watch exclusively on the England app.

Carsley has retained the majority of the squad which has helped put England on top of their group with six wins from seven games so far, which means they could secure qualification after their second game with Slovakia.

There are some new faces in the squad with first MU21 call-ups for Stephen Mfuni, Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, Amario Cozier-Duberry and Will Lankshear, with all five players having previously featured on the England pathway at various age groups and having impressed with their early season form at club level.

Tickets for the games with Kazakhstan and Slovakia remain on sale.
