England men’s youngest debutants: The top 10

Rio Ngumoha became the third-youngest player to make his competitive debut for the England men’s team after his appearance in the UEFA Nations League victory over Czechia. 

The forward came off the bench aged 18 years and 31 days as the Three Lions won 2-0 at the Fortuna Arena in Prague, where Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane were on target. 

In doing so, he edged Callum Hudson-Odoi out of the top three, with the Nottingham Forest winger having also made his competitive debut against Czechia in March 2019, but at the older age of 18 years and 135 days.

Ngumoha, who sits behind Wayne Rooney and Jude Bellingham in the top 10, is the men’s team’s fifth youngest debutant of all-time when friendlies are included.
