England's first knockout game of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will take place at the Atlanta Stadium, in Atlanta, Georgia.

The venue will host eight FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, with five group stage games featuring the likes of Spain and Morocco having already been played there. After England’s round of 32 tie, it will host one round of 16 game and a semi-final.

The stadium is home to the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and MLS’ Atlanta United. A new NWSL team launching in 2028 will also call it home.

The City

Located in downtown Atlanta, the stadium hosts more events than any other in the United States and has previously been the venue for Super Bowl LIII, MLS’ All-Star Game in 2018, two 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America matches and a number of international games.

Atlanta Stadium was opened as the most sustainable stadium ever built in 2017. It is air-conditioned, has a retractable roof and boasts a giant 360-degree 'halo' video screen, which is 327m long and uses over 37 million LEDs.

Fan Parks

The FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta opened on June 24 and is currently scheduled to continue until July 15. Entry is completely free, although you must register in advance for a QR code or wristband.

Being held at the Centennial Olympic Park, the festival features live match broadcasts, fan games, live music, guest appearances and more.

Supporters can purchase food and drinks from a variety of local and international food stalls, with the aim of creating a festival where Southern hospitality makes visitors feel welcome.
More than 275,000 people have attended the festival during its first 11 days, and fans are encouraged to register their interest in future dates as soon as possible.
