Gareth Southgate has named his starting XI for England's last-16 match against Senegal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Southgate has opted for the selection of Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka in the attacking positions alongside Harry Kane, with Marcus Rashford one of many talented players ready to come off the bench, after his impressive double against Wales.
Raheem Sterling, who has been a mainstay of England's starting XI in recent major tournaments, is unavailable because he is dealing with a family matter.

What Was Said
England manager Gareth Southgate insists his team will approach Sunday’s World Cup knockout game with Senegal with caution.
The Three Lions face the African champions in the round of 16 in Doha, with a place in the quarter-final at stake.
And having emerged from the group stage with two victories and a draw against the USA, Southgate and his staff have been preparing the players for their next test.
“Now, we've got a different challenge again - a team that are very confident, the African champions, so they come with that feel about them,” he said.
“They have different threats to the other teams that we've played and also, defensively a little bit different.
“We’re under no illusions that that's going to be a really difficult game.”
Looking back at last week’s victory over Wales, which secured their place in the round of 16, Southgate admits there are areas to improve on but was also pleased with their second-half display.
“I think we have reviewed it and, definitely, in the first half, we feel that we could've used the ball even better than we did,” he said.
“We had control of the game but we didn't really create as many chances as we'd have liked to. In the second half, once we got the first goal, the second one followed so quickly and the game changes completely.
“As always, there are things that we were really pleased with but also things that we can be even better at.”
With the exception of Ben White’s departure from the squad earlier in the week, the Three Lions boss has a full squad to choose from.
And given the options at his disposal, he says it will be a closely considered selection to take on Aliou Cisse’s side.
“We’ve got strength in depth Also, we felt that we weren't at our best in the USA game,” admitted Southgate.
“Whenever you're selecting a team, it's always complicated, you're always trying to get the right balance for your team, the right balance to exploit and deal with the opposition.
“You're talking about physical freshness, you're talking about form, you're talking about experience and youth. So there are a lot of those things that go into selecting a team.
“It's always something that takes time, there's a lot of discussion with the staff. But we've got to try and make the best decisions that we can.
“We've got players, whoever we start, to come into the game, that are playing well and confident. That's a good position to be in.”

● African nations have lost eight of their nine World Cup knockout round games against European sides, with the exception being Senegal's 2-1 win over Sweden in the round of 16 in 2002. However, in all competitions, England have never lost against an African side in their history (W14 D6).
● England are looking to reach the quarter-final in consecutive editions of the World Cup for the first time since 2002/2006 – the Three Lions have been eliminated from just two of their seven round of 16 ties at the tournament, doing so against Germany in 2010 (1-4) and via penalty shootout against Argentina in 1998.
● Senegal have reached the knockout stages of the World Cup for the second time, previously doing so in their first appearance in 2002 (quarter-final). Courtesy of beating Qatar and Ecuador in the group stages, Senegal have won consecutive World Cup matches for the first time.
● England have scored nine goals in their three games at the 2022 World Cup so far – only in 2018 (12) and 1966 (11) have they scored more in a single edition of the tournament.
● Since beating France 1-0 in their first ever World Cup match in 2002, Senegal have conceded at least once in each of their last 10 games in the competition.
● Each of Senegal's last ten goals at the World Cup have been scored by different players (including own goals). Their five different scorers at this tournament is the most they've had in a single World Cup edition.
● Harry Kane provided three assists in the group stages, the first England player to provide as many in a single World Cup tournament since David Beckham in 2002. No Englishman has ever provided four on record in a single edition of a major tournament before (EURO and World Cup, since 1966).
● Marcus Rashford was England's top scorer in the group stages, netting three goals in just 107 minutes of action (one every 36 minutes). He could be the first Manchester United player to score four goals at a major tournament for the Three Lions.

The 'Lions of Teranga' earned their place in the Round of 16 after finishing in second spot of Group A behind the Netherlands. During the group stage, they lost their first game to two late goals against the Dutch, before beating host nation Qatar by 3-1 in their second match. The secured their place in the knockout stages with a 2-1 win against Ecuador.
While Sadio Mane is the most recognisable name to be associated with Senegal after playing a starring role in their qualification, the former Liverpool and Southampton striker was ruled out of the World Cup through injury.
English fans will recognise Chelsea duo Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly, Idrissa Gueye of Everton, Spurs midfielder Pape Sarr, Watford's Ismailia Sarr and Sheffield United's Illian Ndiaye.
Unfortunately for Senegal, Gueye will miss Sunday's game due to suspension.

How to watch or stream
After a testing first half hour, Jordan Henderson’s strike changed the momentum of the tie and Harry Kane added a second before the break to give Gareth Southgate’s team breathing space.
Bukayo Saka then added a brilliant third on 57 minutes to make sure of victory and set up a mouth-watering quarter-final tie with reigning champions France on Saturday evening.
Southgate made just one change to the side that beat Wales 3-0, with Saka replacing Marcus Rashford, and his charges were met with an aggressive Senegalese press from the outset.
Their positivity led to the first nearly moment of the night when Boulaye Dia was slipped in and denied only by a last-ditch intervention from Harry Maguire.
Senegal refused to offer England a moment’s rest and carved out the game’s first genuine opening after picking up a loose ball down the England left.
Krépin Diatta’s cross found Dia, who’s volley was blocked by Stones’ knee and ricocheted into the path of Ismalia Sarr, who hooked the ball over from four yards out under the close attention of Jordan Pickford.
The Everton stopper was again England’s saviour just a few minutes when Sarr slipped in the lively Dia and his bounce shot produced a brilliant one-handed save from Pickford.
Then, on 38 minutes, the game turned as a neat flick from Foden on the left touchline gave Kane the time and space to bisect two Senegal defenders and find Jude Bellingham.
England’s new-boy hared into the box and on his weaker left foot picked out Henderson, who arrived late to sweep the ball past Chelsea’s Mendy.
He motored upfield and shrugged off two challenges before setting Foden clear, and his first-time pass allowed Kane to pick his spot and powerfully fire past a helpless Mendy for his first goal of the 2022 World Cup.
He very nearly had a second ten minutes after the restart but saw a dipping long-range effort gathered at the second attempt by Mendy.
England navigated the closing half hour with ease, with Pickford largely a bystander as Southgate took the opportunity to give valuable minutes to a host of players who could yet play a crucial role in their World Cup campaign.
They return to the Al Bayt Stadium at the weekend to play the holders, who saw off Poland earlier on Sunday with a 3-1 victory.
