Experienced goalkeeper Jason Steele received his first senior call-up under Thomas Tuchel over a decade after last representing England at youth level.

The Brighton & Hove Albion stopper played for the under-16s right through to the under-21s during his youth career, travelling to major tournaments.

Notably, he was the starting goalkeeper at the 2009 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Ukraine, wearing the armband on occasion as the Young Lions finished as runners-up.

He was also included in the squad for the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Israel, having made his MU21s debut in November 2010, making seven appearances at that age group.

Fast forward to March 2026 and Steele was selected by Tuchel for England's Wembley double header against Uruguay and Japan ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
