Leicester Train Station is roughly 1.2 miles from King Power Stadium. The station provides connections to multiple cities across the U.K. including London, Nottingham, Sheffield and more.

To walk from Leicester Train Station, exit the station, cross London Road at the traffic lights, turn left and follow the road to King Power Stadium around to the right. Keep the Central Ring Road (Waterloo Way) on your left as the path separates from the road, staying on this path as it crosses New Walk. The path then re-joins the pavement, at which point Nelson Mandela Park will be in view. Turn right onto Lancaster Road and walk through the park, heading for the crossings by the public toilets. Cross Welford Road and turn left, following the road around – passing Morrisons supermarket – to King Power Stadium.

Freemen’s Common is the closest bus stop to the stadium located a 5-minute walk away on Aylestone Road. This stop is served by the 47, 84, 85, 87, 88 Saffron, 88A Saffron and 88E Saffron services. These services are operated by Arriva Bus and First Bus and run between Leicester city centre and the stadium. Please visit Leicester Buses to see further bus services operating in the area and consider your matchday travel route. Most buses in Leicester are low floor vehicles, meaning they can be lowered to pavement level once the bus has stopped. Buses all include wheelchair spaces.

However, if you’re planning to drive to the match, we recommend using JustPark to find and pre-book your parking space near the stadium. Please note that spaces may sell out quickly, so we encourage booking early ahead of matchday to avoid disappointment and to avoid congestion around the stadium.

The M1 and M69 motorways interchange at Junction 21 (M1), where you should exit and follow the signs for the City Centre via the A5460.

There are currently no roadworks planned however we recommend keeping up to date with highway works here and checking travel information before your journey.

Road closures will be in place around the King Power Stadium at least 60 minutes before kick-off and the authorities may close earlier. Traffic congestion is anticipated on the roads surrounding the Stadium. As such, city centre or Just Park parking is recommended on matchday to ensure a quicker journey time home, post-match. 

Leicester City Centre and Leicester Rail Station are within a 30-minute walk to the stadium. Visitors are also encouraged to cycle to the match. The closest cycle parking is located at the stadium's cycle park which can be accessed via Car Park B. Please note, there are 20 spaces which are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
