Both England MU19s and MU17s find out who they'll be taking on at the next stage of their EURO quest
England men's U19s and U17s were both involved in Wednesday's UEFA EURO elite round draws.

Taking place at UEFA HQ in Nyon, Switzerland, the next stage of the competition will be held in spring 2022 as both teams look to take another step towards their respective EURO Finals in the summer.

After progressing through the first qualifying round in Sweden last month with wins over Andorra and Sweden and a draw with Switzerland, Ian Foster's MU19s will now face opposition from Portugal, Republic of Ireland and Armenia, after they were draw in group 3 in the U19 EURO section.

Only the nation who finishes top of the group will progress to the U19 EURO Finals, which are being staged in Slovakia next June.

Fixtures will take place in the March international window, with group hosts still to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, the MU17s have been drawn alongside Luxembourg, Russia and France in group 5 for the U17 EURO competition.

They qualified for the elite round back in October, when they beat Armenia and Belarus before being held to a draw by Slovakia in their final game

With 15 places available at the U17 EURO Finals in Israel during May, it means the eight group winners along with the seven best runners-up will secure their spot at the Finals.

Tom Curtis' squad will also play their games in March, with the group host nation still to be confirmed.

Also taking place on Wednesday was the draw for the first qualifying round of the 2022-23 EURO competitions, which will be held next autumn.
