England squad updates - October

The latest updates from the Three Lions squad for the games with Andorra and Hungary in October

October 5

James Ward-Prowse has been added to the England squad to replace the injured Kalvin Phillips

The Southampton midfielder was part of a 24-man group that assembled at St. George’s Park on Tuesday.

Phillips was assessed following Leeds United’s victory over Watford on Saturday and has been ruled out of the forthcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell were added to the squad yesterday following the withdrawal of Reece James

The Three Lions face Andorra away on Saturday 9 October (7.45pm kick-off) before hosting Hungary at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Tuesday 12 October (7.45pm kick-off).

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Carl Rushworth has been added to Lee Carsley’s MU21 squad in place of Josh Griffiths. 

Rushworth, who is on loan at Walsall from Brighton & Hove Albion, has previously been involved at MU19 and MU20 level.

Ben Chilwell and Tammy Abraham have been added to the England squad for this month's FIFA World Cup qualifiers. 

All players will report to St. George’s Park on Tuesday apart from Reece James who is ruled out of October's fixtures through injury.

The Three Lions face Andorra away on Saturday 9 October (7.45pm kick-off) before hosting Hungary at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Tuesday 12 October (7.45pm kick-off).
