England will play in the third-place play-off at the Partially Sighted EUROs after losing 5-1 to Spain on Friday afternoon.
The Para Lions were unable to rediscover their form from earlier in the tournament as they conceded four first-half goals before Douglas Pratt netted a late consolation and Spain added a fifth.
They got one warning when Jack Walsh made a big save after four minutes but did go behind shortly afterwards when Spain scored with just over five minutes on the clock.
Six minutes later, it was two. A near-post corner was deflected into the net to leave John Tapia-Owens’ side with plenty to do.
It got worse in the minute before half-time as Spain added two more goals, the first a deft chip and the second rolled into the empty net as the Para Lions utilised a Power play - swapping their goalkeeper for an outfielder and bringing them out of goal - in their pursuit of one back.
There was less action in the second period, with Tapia-Owens' team team held at arm’s length until Pratt scored in the final seconds of the game and Spain scored with the very last kick.
England are next in action in that third-place play-off against Türkiye at 10am GMT on Sunday.
England starting team: Jack Walsh, Andy Cahill, John McDougall, Douglas Pratt, Liam Spinks
