ENGLAND MEN'S LEGACY CAPS

A number of former England internationals and their families were presented with their men’s senior legacy caps last weekend.

The presentation was made at Birmingham City’s St. Andrew’s Stadium ahead of the West Midlands club’s fourth round Emirates FA Cup tie against Leeds United.

FA Chair Debbie Hewitt MBE presented the caps to the players who were able to attend, while the families of those who sadly couldn’t be there were also presented with their caps.

Each of the players honoured represented the Blues during their playing careers, including Emile Heskey (#1094) who was in attendance to collect his legacy cap.

The players who are sadly no longer with us, and their own legacy numbers, who were recognised were Joe Bradford (#463), Gil Merrick (#710), Gordon Astall (#756), Mike Hellawell (#807).
