Find out who the Three Lions could face if they keep progressing in North America

England continue their FIFA World Cup 2026 journey with a Round of 16 clash against co-hosts Mexico in Mexico City on Sunday.

Thomas Tuchel’s men have already topped Group L and knocked out DR Congo in the Round of 32, with Harry Kane’s second-half brace proving the difference in Atlanta.

All eyes are now on the game against Javier Aguirre’s side, who have won all four of their games at the tournament so far without conceding a goal.

But with a 1am BST kick-off on 6 July to contend with, fans at home will understandably be looking ahead to when England will play next should they get past El Tri.

Here, we run through England’s potential route to the World Cup final on 19 July, including dates, kick-off times, locations and opponents.

Quarter-final
Saturday 11 July, 10pm BST
Miami Stadium

Should England defeat Mexico, their next game will be back in the United States against either Brazil or Norway.

The quarter-final will take place at Miami Stadium in Miami, Florida on Saturday 11 July. Kick-off will be 10pm BST.

Brazil beat Japan 2-1 with an added-time winner from Gabriel Martinelli in their Round of 32 tie, while Erling Haaland struck late on to give Norway a 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast.

Semi-final
Wednesday 15 July, 8pm BST
Atlanta Stadium

If the Three Lions are successful in their quarter-final in Miami, it’ll be a return to Atlanta for Tuchel and his players on Wednesday 15 July for the semi-final.

The last four tie will kick off at 8pm BST at Atlanta Stadium, with seven potential opponents as the Round of 32 games continue across North America this week.

As it stands, England could face Switzerland, Colombia, Ghana, Australia, Egypt, Argentina or Cape Verde.

Final
Sunday 19 July, 8pm BST
New York New Jersey Stadium

Should Harry Kane and Co. emerge triumphant in their semi-final, they’ll be heading back to New York New Jersey Stadium for their first FIFA World Cup final in 60 years.

The venue for the Three Lions’ 2-0 group stage win over Panama, the stadium will host 82,500 fans for the showpiece event on Sunday 19 July. Kick-off is 8pm BST.

England currently have eight potential opponents: France, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Morocco, Paraguay, USA and Belgium.
