Find out what's on the agenda on 26 June for Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions

What happens behind the scenes with the England team during the FIFA World Cup 2026? What does their day look like today, on 26 June? Here you can find out in our Three Lions Daily Briefing.

Today, England ramp up their training in Kansas City before travelling to New Jersey for Saturday's final group stage game against Panama.

Currently top of Group L after beating Croatia and drawing with Ghana, the Three Lions know what's needed to seal first place and a spot in the knockout stage.

Training and preparation

After breakfast, Thomas Tuchel and his squad will depart for the training ground as they take part in their final session before facing Los Canaleros.

The first 15 minutes of Friday's session will be open to the media before Tuchel puts his players through their paces away from the cameras.

After the session, the squad have the opportunity to take part in a recovery session before grabbing lunch and getting ready to depart Swope Soccer Village.

On the move

In the afternoon, the squad will take a two-hour and 40-minute flight east from Kansas to New Jersey, the venue for Saturday's final group stage game.

As most of the squad settle into their new surroundings, Tuchel and one of his players will head to New York New Jersey Stadium for their pre-match press conference.

Into the Lions' Den

The latest episode of Lions' Den Connected by EE dropped overnight, with Bukayo Saka and Trevoh Chalobah joining host Andrew Mensah to chat about Tuchel's influence, life in camp and take part in some fun games.

Another new episode, featuring two more members of the squad, is also set to be released later today, with the pair answering questions from fans and discussing their experiences in North America so far.

You can watch the Lions' Den episode first on the official England app and watch all previous episodes here.

The headlines

The Three Lions are level with Ghana on four points in Group L but have a superior goal difference. Victory against Panama would be enough for England to finish first, providing Ghana do not beat Croatia by enough goals to end the group stage with a better goal difference.

Eberechi Eze has described the tournament as a "long journey" and explained why England remain calm and focused despite not getting the result they wanted against Ghana on Tuesday.
