England WU17s learn EURO Finals draw
Kerri Welsh's Young Lionesses are heading to the UEFA Women's U17 EURO Finals in May
England women’s under-17s will face hosts Northern Ireland, Germany and Norway at the UEFA Women’s U17 EURO Finals in May.
The draw for the Finals was made in Belfast on Wednesday afternoon, with the eight finalists drawn into two groups of four for the first stage of the tournament.
From there, the top two teams in each group will progress to the semi-finals, with qualification for the 2026 FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup in Morocco also up for grabs.
And Kerri Welsh’s team will play in the opening game of the Finals, when they face Northern Ireland on Monday 4 May, before they play Germany on Thursday 7 May and then round off the group phase against Norway on Sunday 10 May. Further match details will be confirmed in due course.
The Young Lionesses qualified for the finals last week, after winning all three of their second qualifying round games in Croatia.
