Ben Futcher's Young Lions made it two wins in two out in Cyprus

England men’s under-18s made it back-to-back wins in their final fixture of 2025-26, beating Cyprus 6-1.

Ben Futcher’s team were 2-0 up at half time at the Dasaki Achnas Stadium near Larnaca.

Leicester City forward Monga – who found the back of the net just three days earlier in a 2-1 win over Greece as a second-half substitute – was handed a start against Cyprus and he made an impact, scoring England’s opening goal.

The Young Lions doubled their lead before the break as Rodriguez – who became Olympique Lyonnais’ youngest-ever scorer in a European match earlier this season before heading out on loan to Ligue 2 – struck for England.

Head coach Futcher rang the changes around 15 minutes into the second period, making eleven switches and it brought four more goals as the Young Lions put in a dominant display.

Substitute Dean Benamar, who has now scored in three games in a row for the MU18s, made it 3-0.

Albert Mills, also introduced off the bench on the hour mark, then added a fourth for a rampant England.

It was five for Futcher’s side courtesy of Manchester City’s Ryan McAidoo who further bolstered the scoreline.

And Chizaram Ezenwata got in on the act to make it six, with Cyprus also finding the back of the net.
