Harry Kane extends his lead at the top of England men's all-time record goalscorers list after his 60th and 61st international goals against Italy

Harry Kane’s brace against Italy means he is now on 61 goals for the Three Lions as he continues to extend his lead at the top of England men’s senior team’s list of all-time record goalscorers.

Kane went level with Jimmy Greaves on 44 England goals with his hat-trick against Albania in November 2021 and managed to make the leap to third in one night with four first-half goals at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle during the Three Lions’ 10-0 win three days' later.

A penalty against Switzerland in March 2022 then moved him on to 49 goals, alongside the legendary Charlton, before improving his impressive record even further against Germany in June and then September.

Kane's outstanding form at major tournaments continued with a 52nd goal against Senegal in the last 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup before he moved level with Wayne Rooney at the top of England men’s senior team’s list of all-time record goalscorers in the quarter-final defeat to France.

And on Thursday 23 March 2023, Kane put England 2-0 up against Italy just before half-time to make it 54 goals in 81 appearances for his country's senior team before adding another to his tally against Ukraine at Wembley a few days later.

Kane's penalty against Malta on June 16 moved him up to 56 and then a brace at Old Trafford three days later against North Macedonia saw the Spurs man go to 58.

The goal during the 3-1 win against Scotland in September 2023 bumped him up to 59 and then the Bayern Munich striker bagged another brace against Italy on October 17 2023 to move to 61 goals in 87 matches and help secure England's place at UEFA EURO 2024 in the process.

Here is the list of England’s record goalscorers.
