England represented among Ballon d'Or nominees
A number of England stars have been nominated for awards, with winners to be announced in September

A number of England men’s and women’s senior team internationals have been nominated for Ballon d'Or awards in various categories.
Five UEFA Women’s EURO 2025-winning Lionesses have been nominated for the Women's Ballon d'Or.
Lucy Bronze, who featured in her seventh major tournament this summer, Hannah Hampton, who made her major tournament debut at EURO 2025, Chloe Kelly, who converted the decisive penalty in the final in Basel, Alessia Russo, who led the line for England, and Leah Williamson, who captained the side to success, have all been nominated.
And a further four Three Lions internationals have been nominated for the Men’s Ballon d'Or.
Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Arsenal’s Declan Rice each made the 30-player nominee list, announced this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang has been nominated for the Women's Kopa Trophy – the accolade which recognises the best female player under the age of 21.
Having played a starring role for England at EURO 2025 as Sarina Wiegman’s side retained their European crown, the teenager also won the Young Player of the Tournament, scoring two important goals in Switzerland.
England’s Myles Lewis-Skelly has also been nominated for this year’s Men’s Kopa Trophy.
The Arsenal defender received his first call-up earlier this year under head coach Thomas Tuchel before making an immediate impression, scoring on his Three Lions bow against Albania at Wembley, becoming the youngest England player to ripple the net on his senior debut.
Goalkeeper Hampton has been nominated for the 2025 Yachine Trophy, which recognises the world's best female goalkeepers.

Handed the number one jersey ahead of the summer, the Chelsea stopper was between the sticks as the Lionesses lifted the trophy, with her penalty shootout heroics creating unforgettable moments.
Lionesses head coach Sarina Wiegman has also been nominated for the Women's Team Coach of the Year.
The Dutchwoman led England to back-to-back European titles, making it five appearances in consecutive finals for the England boss with both the Lionesses and the Netherlands.
Winners will be revealed on 22 September 2025 at a ceremony staged at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
