England men’s under-17s were beaten 5-3 by Sweden in their UEFA U17 EURO qualifying campaign.

With 13 minutes played, the Young Lions took the lead through Brian Madjo to make it 1-0.

Minutes later, Sweden hit back through Alexander Odefalk who levelled proceedings.

And England’s opponents struck again courtesy of Rayan Bardghji with five minutes remaining of the first half.

Sweden added a third shortly after the restart in the second half as Bardghji doubled his tally before Dion Mehmeti made it four.

However, Sweden made it five soon after through Mehmeti.

England forward Madjo – who opened the scoring in the first half – bagged a brace three minutes into injury time before the full-time whistle blew.
