Elliot Anderson and Noni Madueke reflect on Andorra win
The Three Lions debutant and impressive attacker spoke following Saturday's win at Villa Park
MATCH CENTRE: ENGLAND 2-0 ANDORRA
England’s Elliot Anderson was pleased with his Three Lions debut following his appearance in the 2-0 win over Andorra at Villa Park.
The Nottingham Forest midfielder received his first senior call-up for September’s World Cup qualifiers with Andorra and Serbia, and Thomas Tuchel gave him a starting berth in Birmingham.
And the former MU21s player made an impressive bow, as England made it four wins for four in their group ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Belgrade.
"I did feel [at home] - it was good out there and I enjoyed it,” said Anderson.
"We knew they were going to be hard to break to down and that first goal was going to be important.
"It's a World Cup qualifier - all that matters is three points which we got, but little things will come over time.”

Another player to catch the eye was Noni Madueke, who proved a constant threat from the right flank and saw his cross lead to the own goal which opened the scoring.
“First and foremost, it’s good to get the win and a clean sheet,” said the Arsenal forward.
“Of course, we knew what type of game it was going to be. Sometimes it was frustrating. It is about getting the goals and the team won, so I am happy.”
With regards England’s approach to the game, which was their first qualifier since the first game with Andorra in June, Madueke added: "He [Thomas Tuchel] wants us to be direct. That was a great example of it [England's second goal]. Reece [James] top quality, and it was a great cross and a great finish from Dec [Rice].
"We won the game, World Cup qualifier, clean sheet and two goals - I am happy.
"They are tough nuts to crack. When you play against 11 players in 30 metres of space it will be hard for every single team in the world.
"Today was better than the last time we played them, we were more fluid. We should have scored more but overall I am happy with the team's collective performance."
And the ex PSV and Chelsea player was also left impressed by the performance of his new teammate Anderson, saying "I knew he was top before, because when we play Nottingham Forest he is always so good.
“I knew he'd play like that, he was amazing and looked at home."
