See when and where the Three Lions will face Mexico after World Cup knockout win over DR Congo

England will face FIFA World Cup 2026 co-hosts Mexico in the Round of 16 after Harry Kane struck twice to secure a 2-1 comeback victory over DR Congo in the Round of 32, and here you can find out all the fixture details.

After Kane's close-range header and brilliant second-half finish, the Three Lions now know their next fixture.

Mexico defeated Ecuador 2-0, courtesy of goals from Julián Quiñones and Raúl Jiménez, at Mexico City Stadium.

The victory means the tournament co-hosts, alongside Canada and USA, will remain on home soil for the next round.

Fixture details for Round of 16

Our tie against Mexico is in Mexico City. The game would take place on Monday 6 July at 1am BST.

It's our first World Cup match in Mexico since the FIFA World Cup 1986, when we reached the quarter-finals.

Our route in the knockout stage

Quarter-final

Should England progress against Mexico, Tuchel's squad would travel to Miami, a familiar location where the squad's pre-tournament camp took place, on Saturday 11 July (10pm BST). That tie would be against the winners of Brazil v Norway.

Semi-final

If England reach the last four, we'd be back off to Atlanta for the semi-final, with that game staged on Wednesday 15 July (8pm BST). We would face one of Argentina, Cape Verde, Australia, Egypt, Switzerland, Algeria, Colombia and Ghana.

The Final weekend

The FIFA 2026 World Cup Final will take place on Sunday 19 July (8pm BST) at the New York-New Jersey Stadium.

There is also a bronze match to decide third place, scheduled in Miami on Saturday 18 July (10pm BST).
