The second instalment of the exclusive documentary is available to watch on the official England app

You can now watch the second episode of the new England Originals series ‘Building the Dream, England’s Road to the World Cup’.

A three-part series charting the Three Lions’ journey to this summer’s tournament with an unprecedented look at Thomas Tuchel’s time as the Three Lions’ head coach, the latest instalment is titled ‘Unbeaten’.

It follows on from episode one, ‘Lift Off’, with both episodes available to watch on the official England app now.

With insight from the likes of Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Morgan Rogers and Ezri Konsa, the second instalment resumes in September 2025, mid-way through Tuchel’s third camp as the England boss.

The Three Lions travelled to Belgrade, putting in a five-star performance against Serbia – perhaps their biggest test en-route to the tournament to date.

And they secured qualification the following month with a 5-0 win over Latvia in Riga with two games to spare.

“It was a really special campaign,” explained Three Lions captain Kane. “I think sometimes it’s taken for granted because we made qualifying look easier than what it is.

“To go through the whole campaign without conceding a goal is just credit to everyone involved. It’s a real high achievement.”

The second episode also explores the relationship between Tuchel and his assistant head coach, Anthony Barry.

“He’s just a brilliant mind,” said Tuchel. “He’s an amazing character, nice guy, very reliable and a real friend now. We went together to Bayern Munich and now, here to the England national team.

“I didn’t think about international football as a possibility but then, the feeling just got bigger and bigger and manifested itself. I had a long coffee with Anthony and said, ‘what do you think about this?’”

“We had real excitement to coach this group of players,” added Barry. “We thought from the outside that we could build something pretty special. We loved the idea of the mission of going after the second star. This is something Thomas and I built in the café.”

And there is insight into Tuchel's connection with the players after taking up the role as the England head coach.

"He’s kind of like an extra player on camp sometimes which is really nice," explained Rogers. "He’s always laughing, always making people laugh, always getting involved with the players and the boys. Wants to be in and around it."

The final episode, ‘The Next Step’ will be released ahead of England’s tournament opener against Croatia.
