What happens behind the scenes with the England team during the FIFA World Cup 2026? What does their day look like today, on Tuesday 30 June? Here you can find out in our Three Lions Daily Briefing.

Following the squad's return to the their training base in Kansas City on Monday, the squad are now fully focused on their Round of 32 clash with DR Congo in Atlanta, with the game now just over 24 hours away.

Matchday minus one morning

The familiar routine that makes up the day before a game will see the Three Lions squad back on their training ground at Swope Soccer Village on Tuesday morning, with the first 15 minutes of the session open to the media as England's preparations for their trip to Atlanta continue.

Georgia on my mind

Another game and another state to visit for the Three Lions in their fourth game of the World Cup, as they head to the deep south for their Round of 32 game with DR Congo. The squad will fly from Missouri after lunch, with the flight time scheduled for around two hours and will also see a change in time zone to BST-5 hours.

On arrival in Atlanta, head coach Thomas Tuchel and one of his squad will head straight to the stadium venue for the official pre-match press conference.
