Report: England WU20s 4-1 Mexico
The Young Lionesses rounded off their trip to Spain with a victory over Mexico
England women’s under-20s ended their trip to Spain this month with a 4-1 victory over Mexico in Alicante.
John Salomon’s Young Lionesses have been continuing their preparations for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland later this year with three games at the Albir Gardens Resort.
After a 3-1 defeat to the hosts Spain in their opening game and then a 1-0 victory over the Netherlands earlier this week, England rounded their fixtures off on Friday with a comprehensive win.
They took the lead shortly before half time when Laila Harbert finished off a fluent team move down the left to give her side a deserved advantage at the break.
And England doubled their lead ten minutes after the restart when Lois Shooter fired an effort off the inside of the post, following a pass from half-time substitute Lola Brown.
