England U17 head coach Kerri Welsh has selected a 24-player squad to face Belgium.

The Young Lionesses will be back in action as they host Belgium in an international fixture on Thursday 29 October (12:30 BST).

The game against the Red Flames will serve as the final preparation for the squad before they enter round one of UEFA Women’s Under-17 EURO qualifiers later this year. The Young Lionesses have been drawn in Group A7 alongside Belarus, Hungary and Denmark.

Kerri Welsh said: “We are really excited to be back together. We are looking forward to hosting Belgium and testing ourselves against a tough opposition to see where we are heading into our WU17 EURO qualifying campaign next month.

“We’re all raring to get started on our qualification journey towards next year’s EUROs in Finland, and fixtures like this are crucial to our preparations. It’s a great opportunity to play at home and ensure we are in the best place we can be on and off the pitch.”
