Following assessment on an injury sustained in training, Leah Williamson will leave the England senior women’s squad and return to Arsenal for her rehabilitation.

Lotte Wubben-Moy and Nikita Parris have been added to the England women’s senior squad following injuries to Leah Williamson and Lucy Parker.


EURO winners Wubben-Moy and Parris join the 23-player squad at the Lensbury Resort today as they look ahead to Friday’s sell-out Wembley Stadium fixture against the USA, before they face Czech Republic in Brighton on Tuesday 11 October.

Williamson will undergo further assessment on an injury sustained in training, while Parker will return to West Ham United to continue her rehabilitation having been injured in her club’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup tie this weekend.

Alessia Russo has withdrawn from the England women’s senior squad due to a small injury.

The Manchester United forward missed her club’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup tie this weekend and will remain at her club to continue her rehabilitation.

No replacement has been called-up.

Sarina Wiegman’s 23-player squad arrived at the Lensbury Resort today as they prepare for Friday’s sell-out Wembley Stadium fixture against the USA, before facing Czech Republic in Brighton on Tuesday 11 October.
